Each scrunchie is carefully handmade from authentic Romanian scarves by a Roma woman (or teen) working to provide for her family (all of the ladies have between 5-11 children each). With each Joy Beadz product that these ladies make they are fighting against their destitution. Your purchase is helping to fight the cycles of domestic abuse, child abandonment and the risk of human trafficking in the Roma community they live in.
