Five for Friday – Fall Beauty Hacks

With the cooler weather coming in, there are so many fun fall things to do…however, there are also lots of cold weather beauty hacks to protect your hair and skin!  This Five for Friday, we’ve got a few DIY and store-bought items to help you prepare for and battle the colder weather.

1. Keeping ’em plump

One product that the ladies in my family love for keeping those lips soft all winter long is with Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. You apply the mask at bedtime and wake up with super soft smackers.

2. Chapped hands

This time of year can be especially hard on our hands. Being in heated homes, out in cold weather, plus all of the daily tasks, can really take a toll. For a nice DIY option to keep those hands smooth this winter, you can try making your own sugar scrub to help exfoliate. If you would like to throw something in the cart, I love Mary Kay’s Satin Hands and how soft and moisturized my hands feel afterwards.

3. Static hair

I feel like around this time of the year, I start feeling like someone is following me around with tons of balloons, as my hair can stick out every which way. If you’re in this frustrating boat, we’ve got a few tips for you!

*Make sure you are using a moisture-base conditioner

*You can pop dryer sheets on your brush and run them through your hair or you can pick up some Carre Lissant Anti-Frizz Sheets

*Switch to a wooden brush or metal comb

*Dry your hair wrapped in a T-shirt rather than a towel

*Rub some moisturizer on your hands and put it on the ends of your hair

*If your hair is dried out, you can add a bit of coconut oil to your shampoo to make it smooth and shiny

4. Fuzzy wuzzy

Now tends to be the time of year where if you’re a guy and you do not rock a beard year round, you might grow yours out for the cold weather season. Forget Me Not has got a new natural beard balm that will help with itchy beard, dandruff, and can be a part of your daily moisturizing for both your beard and the skin buried underneath. You scrape just a bit out from the tin and allow it to melt in your fingers, then apply it to your clean damp beard and either work it in from the roots with your fingers or with a comb. As a Five for Friday deal, we’re offering 20% off of our beard balm with the code “FUZZYFRIDAY20“!

5. Little piggies

Cracked feet can be a painful battle, especially during the colder months. My go-to piggy plan for the winter is grabbing some vaseline and a pair of soft fuzzy socks, and either applying the vaseline all over your feet or just on those drier areas. Next, head to bed and let your feet enjoy a bit of pampering all night long.

If you’ve got some great beauty hacks or products you recommend to beat the cold weather, we’d love to hear about them! We are so thankful for you all and hope you know what an incredible difference you make daily in the lives of the Roma and in the ministry!

Have a BLESSED weekend!

Rachel
