Five for Friday – Productivity

I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for new ways to be more efficient, productive, and try and keep myself organized. If I don’t, I can get overwhelmed pretty quickly.

This week, I just wanted to share a few apps and programs that I am either currently using or that have recently recommended to me. Hopefully they will be a blessing in helping to increase your productivity as well.

Snagit

Snagit is a software download that works as a screen clipper, and I am just discovering all of the incredible uses it provides. One amazing feature is the image to text converter which allows you to pull the text out of any image and be able to copy and paste it into a document. Snagit is a huge upgrade from the screenshots you take on your computer and allows you to grab little clippings, articles, text, images and put them together in files.

ScanSnap

ScanSnap is a scanning device that is helping millions go paperless and crawl out from behind the stack of papers on their desk. 🙂

It is a super easy way to scan documents, receipts, business cards, etc, and organize them all into one place with just one button. It automatically organizes for you…a fabulous feature.

You can find them on sale at the moment at Amazon Smile. (When you purchase with Amazon Smile, you can choose Forget Me Not Ministries as your selected charity and they send a percentage to the ministry)

Blue light blocking glasses

Blue light glasses have drastically increased my productivity as they have completely cured any nausea and dizziness I was experiencing at my computer, allowing me to stay focused. My eyes were hurting after working at my computer, I was feeling dizzy and sick and I would have to lay down for a bit or stop my project all together. My mom sent me some of these glasses to try, and the relief was immediate. I work with them everyday now.

Things app

Sometimes I struggle to go to sleep if things and lists are still rolling around in my mind and aren’t in some other format. 🙂 With the Things app, you have tons of features available to help get all of your things done. To-do’s, reminders, calendar integration, mail, your projects, plans, and more all in one spot.

Bear app

Bear is a great app for note taking and organizing thoughts and ideas. Perfect for creating plans, writing thoughts, and storing all of those meeting notes. It helps to create a safe place for all of your notes where they can be easily organized and searchable with smart data recognition, hash tags, multi-device sync, and much more.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and please feel free to share if you have a great app or program that is useful for increasing productivity…we’d love to know!

Thankful for you,

Rachel
